Falun Dafa World Day Celebrated In Buenos Aires
On the World Falun Dafa Day, a group of activists demonstrate and teach the discipline for free in a park. Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practice, introduced by its founder Li Hongzhi in 1992, is forbidden in China since 1999 after it staged a peaceful gathering in Tiananmen Square in July 1999. According to Amnesty International, "tens of thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners have been arbitrarily detained as part of a campaign of intimidation and persecution targeting the group".
